Flight risk assessment

Score a trip before it goes

28 weighted risk factors across crew, environment and equipment. Answer them for one trip and it scores as you go, tells you what drove the number, and hands you the thresholds to set it against.

What you get from the assessment

A weighted score28 factors across crew, environment and equipment, each carrying the weight it carries in the product rather than one point apiece.
What drove itThe factors that put the number where it is, listed back to you, so the conversation is about those rather than about the total.
Thresholds to set it againstThe thresholds RISE ships with, next to your score, so a number becomes a decision instead of a figure on its own.
A sheet for the cockpitThe same assessment on paper, for operations that still run this before a trip with a pen.

How it scores

What the score means

Every factor that applies to the trip adds its weight, so the top of the scale is 110 and a trip lands in one of three bands.

0 to 14
MildProceed with flight as planned.
0110
15 to 30
ModerateImplement mitigations before departure.
0110
31 and up
SevereDelay, modify, or cancel the flight until risks are addressed.
0110

These thresholds are the ones RISE ships with. Yours win.

Where a trip needs a second signature is an operator's decision, set per account in the product. Publishing one set of numbers as the correct ones would be telling an operation how to run its dispatch, so these are a starting point to argue with rather than an answer.

Your turn
