About RISE

Safety software people want to use

We build safety management software for operations where the consequences are real. It exists because too many safety systems are hard to use, and a system nobody wants to use is not a safety system. It is a filing cabinet.

The RISE mark over people at work: a site lead with a tablet on a steel frame build, a worker at a substation, two miners at a rock face, a pilot in the cockpit, an inspector on a structure and a freight locomotive

Compliance is where a safety program starts, not what it is for

Meeting the minimum is a low bar and most operations clear it. What actually changes outcomes is a culture where people speak up because speaking up visibly leads somewhere. Software cannot create that, but it can make it a great deal easier or a great deal harder, and most software makes it harder.

Where we started

Aviation, because aviation asks the most

RISE was built first for flight departments, charter operators, repair stations, flight schools and airports. Aviation has spent longer than anyone thinking about how safety management should work, and building there meant the product was held to that standard before it was held to any other.

That is why it now suits construction, mining, maritime, rail and the rest. An operation does not need aviation's paperwork to benefit from aviation's thinking, and the structure travels a great deal better than the vocabulary does.

What we kept fixing

The problem was never the reporting form

Almost every operation can collect reports. What breaks is everything after: the evaluation that lives in one person's head, the action agreed in a meeting and recorded in that meeting's notes, the trend nobody has time to assemble.

So RISE is built as one system rather than a set of tools, because the value is in what connects them. A hazard evaluated in March being the same record as the action closed in June is not a feature. It is the entire point.

What we value

How we work, and what we will not trade away

Safety comes first

Everyone deserves to go home safely. Every feature we build and every decision we make is measured against that, on the ground and in the air.

We make safety simple

The best safety tools are the ones people actually use. We spend our time on clarity and speed, and on removing the friction that turns a good process into a skipped one.

We pursue excellence

The software, the support, the documentation and the relationships. We set the bar high and we would rather be told we missed it than not be told.

We work at the speed of trust

People are given real autonomy and are expected to follow through. Accountability and straight communication are what make that possible.

We help teams rise together

Organizations improve when the people in them improve together, so the product is built around communication and shared accountability rather than around one administrator.
